Omani business leader honoured with MENAA 2016 awards

Muscat: Omani business leader Hussain Al Lawati has been awarded the “Best Business Leaders Award” for 2016 by the Middle East, North Africa and Asia Award Organisation "MENAA" during an awards ceremony recently held in Dubai.

The event took place in Burj Al Arab in the presence of a group of business leaders from the Gulf, Arab and regional countries.

Al Lawati is the managing director of Omasco. His company also received the “Customer Delight Award” during the ceremony.

Commenting on the award, Al Lawati said: “My goal from the day that I started working at Omasco was to build a strong and energised local workforce.”
“As an Omani company, our strategy is focused on developing local talent and turning them into future leaders for our different business units,” he said.

“I personally put in a significant amount of time on making sure that we have clear development and training programs for our staff, to enable and equip them with the tools needed to further propel the success of Omasco, driven by an informed, educated and empowered local workforce. Being selected for this award from my peers in the industry is truly humbling, but also a sign that we still have a lot more to do in the coming years,” he added.
