35 per cent of Omanis play electronic games

A survey/opinion poll conducted by the National Centre for Statistics and Information showed that 35 per cent of Omanis play electronic games.

It also showed that 68 per cent of Omani families have tablets or ipads.

The playstation is the most common among Omani families with 59 per cent having it while XBox is used by 7 per cent.

The survey also showed that mobile phone was the most commonly used for electronic games (82 per cent ), followed by playstation (39 per cent ) and tablets (8 per cent).

The survey was conducted between September 22 to 30 on a sample of 1,501 Omani citizens aged 18 and above.
