Muscat: CC Energy Development (CCED) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs to support the printing of an atlas of wild reptiles in Oman. Through this MoU, CCED along with its partners in Blocks 3 & 4, Mitsui E&P Middle East B.V. and Tethys Oil Block 3 & 4 Limited will support this work to raise awareness of the biodiversity of the Omani environment.
The agreement was signed by Mahmoud bin Yahya Al Dhuhli, director-general of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the ministry and Walter Simpson, managing director of CC Energy Development.
Commenting on the agreement, Walter said, "The biodiversity in Oman is truly amazing and the publication of this atlas will help raise awareness of the distribution of this important class of animals.”
