Cyclone Luban: Fuel, essential commodities available at shopping centres, filling stations

Muscat: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has assured citizens and residents that all commodities, essentials and fuel will be available at commercial centres and filling stations in the governorates of Dhofar and Al Wusta.
Officials at the ministry confirmed that the ministry is prepared to deal with the upcoming Cyclone Luban. The Ministry, in a statement, said that it is following up with all government agencies in preparation for Cyclone Luban.
"The ministry is in direct contact with all commercial centres to provide all commodities during the tropical weather situation. The Ministry invites citizens and residents in Dhofar and Al Wusta governorates to stock basic materials."
Jamaal Al Hinai, the head of the Ministry Directorate General department in Dhofar, said, "There has been a coordination with all food suppliers and fuel companies in Dhofar and Al Wusta to provide essential goods and fuels in the two governroates."
Al Hinai added that the ministry also coordinated with commercial bank representatives to make sure that there is enough cash at ATMs.
