Seven students injured in classroom fire in Oman

Muscat: Seven female students were injured in a fire that started in a classroom at a school in Sohar on Thursday, the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA) said.
Rescue authorities said they were able to douse the blaze, with the seven students being taken to hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.
According to a statement put out by PACDA, "The firefighting team of the Civil Defence and Ambulance Centre in Sohar managed to douse a fire that gutted a classroom at Al Awainat area in the wilayat of Sohar. Seven female students sustained minor injuries due to the inhalation of smoke. Emergency medical care was provided to the injured students, and they were transported to Awainat health centre."
