An Indonesian citizen has become the first woman to give birth to a baby at the Muscat International Airport, authorities have said.
The baby boy, who was named Faiz Adam, was born at 6.30 am on Saturday.
The pregnant woman was flying from Jeddah to Kuala Lumpur on a Saudi airline plane that was forced to make an emergency landing.
As soon as officials received information from the Air Traffic Control Tower, medical staff at the airport waited to receive the passenger.
