Oman weather: Heavy rain wreaks havoc in Ibri

Muscat: Heavy rains that lashed early this week wreaked havoc in Ibri leading to destruction in many places.

Heavy rains on Tuesday lashed leaving several areas inundated. Incessant rains accompanied by wind and flooding caused widespread damage to houses, farms, roads and other infrastructure.

According to Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA), Ibri received highest amount of rainfall in two days. “Rain clouds will continue to flow in Musandam governorate, and it will increase with thunderstorms and rains in the governorate during the coming hours. It will also extend to Al Buraimi, North Al Batinah and Al Dhahirah governorates,” PACA added.
