Conference to explore best practices in human resources

Muscat: Omani Society for Human Resources Management (OSHRM) is set to host its 5th annual conference on the theme ‘HR, heart of the business’ from December 10 to December 12 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The conference is being organised in strategic partnership with Nama Group and Arab Union of Electricity.
The forum will explore how the best HR practices combined with technologies are profoundly changing the workplace environment around the world, and by its adaption how it will transform the way Oman works.
It will roadmap the future of work by gathering a community of hundreds of decision makers, visionaries and techies on a common platform. The event showcases smarter ways of working, powered by innovative HR technology and the latest business transformation insights led by global executives from some of the world’s most reputed organisations.
Decisively planned, the topics will cover a diverse range of subject matter experts. The topics include ‘The role of the Government in the Development of Human Resources’; ‘Navigate the Crosscut to Human Resources Professionals – Busting the Myths’; ‘The Employer of Choice – Preparing the Culture for Tomorrow’; ‘Reshaping the Workplace – Reshuffle the Recruitment Strategy’; Altering from ‘Data’ to ‘Business Intelligence’ and ‘Gender Equality in the Digital Age – How to Achieve the Full Potential of the Digital Revolution’. Conference attendees can avail special packages that have been custom conceptualised for them.
Speakers at the conference will comprise of highly qualified Omani professionals and international experts. They include Dr Al Fadhal Abbas Al Hinai, Dr Amer Awadh Al Rawas, Abdul Rahman M. Al-Obayed, Ghada Mohammed Al Yousef, Khalid Al Hosni, Asma Al Ghabshi among others. The conference also features international experts from reputed organizations such as Abdulmohsen Bushehri (LinkedIn), Serdzan Simsek Arnautovic (Facebook), Ricardo Cabete, Hussain Al-Muscati (Google), Rhonda Stockton (SAP), Ramy Bayyour (CIPD) among others.
Winners of the HR Excellence Awards will be announced during the course of the conference.
