Rescue teams on ground as rain lashes parts of Oman

Muscat: Heavy to moderate rainfall in Al Dhahirah governorate since Saturday has resulted in most valleys flowing and rescue teams of the Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance (PACDA) dealt with several reports that originated from the governorate.

A statement issued by PACDA said, "Al Dhahirah Governorate is witnessing rain that ranged between medium and heavy, which resulted in the flow of many valleys and reefs.”

Due to heavy rains caused by air depression Thujaj, which is influencing most parts of Oman, rescue teams dealt with some reports resulting from the weather conditions.

"North Al Sharqiyah Governorate is witnessing rain that ranged between medium and heavy, which resulted in the flow of many valleys and reefs," PACDA said. The North Al Sharqiyah Governorate is witnessing rain since yesterday.

PACDA called on all to take care and caution and to not risk crossing the valleys and water gathering during this period.
