Swiss firm wins bid to build India's biggest airport near Delhi

Swiss company Zurich Airport International AG has won the bid to design, build and develop a new airport.

It will be built in Jewar In India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh, local media reports said.

Spread over 5,000 hectares, the new airport will have eight runways and cater to 70 million passengers a year by 2040-50.

A senior officer was quoted as saying that the Zurich Airport International AG had been selected as it offered the "best price."
