Oman's match against KSA to decide semi-final spot

Muscat: Oman's match against Saudi Arabia today will determine if the team qualifies for the semi-finals in the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup.

The match against Saudi Arabia will take place at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium and will begin at 9 PM.

At the same time Kuwait will take on Bahrain at the Khalifa International Stadium. All the teams in Group B have chances to advance to the semi-finals.

Said Al Ruzaiqi, Oman national team player said in a press conference before the match, "We are targeting a win against Saudi Arabia. We have two chances to advance to the semi-finals : if we win or if the match ends in a draw."

Oman have four points with a draw against Bahrain and a win against Kuwait. KSA and Kuwait have three points each.

Oman coach Erwin Koeman said: "As we have only one day break we focused on maintaining the fitness of the players."

Yesterday, Salim Al Wahibi, the head of Oman Football Association, visited the players at their residence, where he thanked them for their good performance against Kuwait and urged them to do more in today's match.
