Several people rescued after being stranded by heavy rains in Oman

Muscat: Air depression, Al Mukramat, has affected most of the wilayats and governorates in Oman with heavy to moderate rains, hails, thunderstorms, high waves and strong winds.

The Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA) said: “Dhank in Al Dhahirah Governorate recorded the highest volume of rainfall.”

A statement has issued by Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance ( PACDA) said : “Rescue teams in Al Dhahirah governorate are dealing with a notification of the detention of persons inside a vehicle in the course of Yanqul wadi”

PACDA said also: “Rescue teams in the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department in Al Buraimi Governorate managed to rescue three people after their vehicle was stuck at Hamad wadi in Al Buraimi. A person also has rescued by PACDA at Al Buraimi valley.”

“A family was stuck after their vehicle drifted in Al Kabrah valley in Liwa, North Al Batinah and taken out by the police and citizens. They are in good health.“ PACDA added

“A report of a vehicle stuck with a family in Al Amerat valley in Muscat Governorate, and another person was detained in his vehicle at Al Amerat. The team is in site to rescue him,” PACDA added.
