SAI plans efficient use of Oman’s resources

Muscat: The State Audit Institution (SAI) has laid plans of utilising Oman’s natural resources for further development of the country. The plans have also shown great concern for human resources being the tool of development and the ultimate goal.
On the occasion of the 49th National Day that was celebrated in the presence of Sheikh Nasser bin Hilal bin Nasser Al Mawali, Chairman of SAI, Nasser bin Hamood bin Salim Al Rawahi, Deputy Chairman of SAI, as well as General Directors, heads of offices and departments and SAI staff, the Chairman stressed the commitment of SAI in preserving the country’s achievements. He also stressed on the resources relevant to different development fields.
Al Mawali also expressed his pleasure and appreciation to reach the 49th National Anniversary and highlighted the pride people feel these days all over the Sultanate.
“This is a reflection of the developmental accomplishments that have been realised on this dear land throughout the years of the blessed renaissance under the leadership of the founder and builder of Oman’s modern state, His Majesty the Sultan,” he said.
Al Mawali added that SAI participated with other State and civil society institutions to mark this glorious occasion and renew its commitment to move forward, continue the hard work and devotion and contribute to the overall development march. “All this can be carried out with proper direction of resources, available tools and instruments that help SAI execute its responsibilities to achieve its objectives with a high level of efficiency,” Al Mawali said.
He reiterated the importance of partnership between citizens and State institutions to promote the march through achieving national priorities with the best results intended. “Throughout the blessed journey the development plans have focused on the utilisation of Oman’s natural resources, and SAI has been keen to recognise the human capital as a key partner in achieving the objectives, and therefore, has been focusing on building national capabilities and professional competencies.”
“We, at SAI, would continue the efforts to direct knowledge and professional skills of SAI staff to realise a performance that is characterised by effectiveness and efficiency, along with the proper use of new technological advancements in the administrative and technical fields, guided by the best international practices,” Al Mawali added.
He concluded his speech by congratulating His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said on this occasion and extending his utmost consideration, appreciation and words of loyalty and gratitude, coupled with prayers to the Almighty God to grant the Sultan with good health and long life, and to Oman and its people prosperity and growth.
