Heavy rains begin in Oman, PACDA advises caution

Heavy rains have started in Musandam governorate and the Public Authority for Civil Defense and Ambulance (PACDA) has called on everyone to take caution.

PACDA said in a statement, "At this time, Musandam Governorate is experiencing moderate to heavy rains and therefore we call on everyone to take caution and not to risk crossing valleys and water pools."

Oman Meteorology also issued an alert for the rising sea waves on the coasts of Oman Sea and the coasts of Musandam Governorate gradually from medium to rough waves reaching a height of 1.5 to 2.5 meters starting from this evening and running till tomorrow.

Oman Meteorology said: "To avoid sea hazards, please follow the weather forecasts and check the sea conditions before going out because the high waves affect small boats and may cause them to overturn at sea. And it is better to postpone cruises and sea activities until the steadying of the situation."
