Majlis Al Shura Chairman receives invitation from Kazakh Parliament

Muscat: Khalid bin Hilal Al Ma’awali, Chairman of Majlis Al Shura has received a message from Nurlan Nigmatulin, Chairman of the House of Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan to participate in the 4th Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries’ Parliaments in Kazakhstan.
The message was delivered to Al Ma’awali, Chairman of Majlis Al Shura, by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Sultanate Mohammed Ali Najmuddin when he received him at Majlis Al Shura on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Al Ma’awali, Chairman of Majlis Al Shura welcomed the guest, pointing to the strong bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, noting the need to strengthen cooperation between them, especially in the legislative and supervisory fields, exchange of views and unifying visions in international forums among members of elected councils.
He also briefed the guest on the role of Majlis Al Shura in following up many issues related to the legislative aspects and supporting them at the level of Arab and international councils.
The Kazakh Ambassador stressed the importance of the role of Majlis Al Shura in various parliamentary aspects. He also stressed the importance of increasing coordination and cooperation between the two countries to serve the common interests of the two friendly peoples.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Nadabi, Secretary General of Majlis Al Shura.
