Oman Crime: Three arrested after boat chase

Muscat: A boat chase has resulted in the arrest of three undocumented Asian nationals, Royal Oman reported on Sunday.

When coastguards spotted the loaded boat near Um Al Ghanam Island in Musandam, the accused dropped the smuggled cargo into the sea and attempted to escape the police.

The three men were arrested later and the police boats searched the sea for the cargo which appeared to be alcoholic beverages.
