1,283 Sultan Qaboos University students set to graduate

Muscat: Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) will celebrate, today, graduation of 1,283 students of nine colleges out of total graduates of Batch 30 of 2.922 students.
The graduation will be organised under the auspices of Mohammed bin Al Zubair, Advisor to His Majesty the Sultan for Economic Planning. Graduation of other 1,639 students of human studies colleges will be celebrated on 25 November.
Dr Ali bin Masaud Al Bimani, SQU Vice Chancellor, expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, pointing that the event inspires students, academics, administration staff and technicians for further innovation and hard work.
He said that SQU has exerted due attention and care to renewable energy.
The College of Engineering at SQU has paid due care to this field for the last 25 years and a research team has been established in the field of renewable energy and its applications, he said.
He added that to this effect SQU has entered into cooperation agreements with a number of companies operating in this field.
