Winners of tennis tourney awarded

Muscat: The third monthly junior tennis championship organised by the Oman Tennis Association came to an end this weekend at the Bausher Sports Complex with the particpation of more than 50 players in different categories.
The winners were awarded by Khalid Al Adi, the president of Oman Tennis Association and Salman Al Balushi, the executive director of Oman Tennis Association. The tournament was sponsored by a number of private organisations such as Pocari Sweat, McDonald’s and Kim’s Hospital.
The match in the under-14 category was between Omani junior players Marwan Al Khanjari and Ali Al Busaidi in which Marwan Al Khanjari clinched the first place with a score of 7-5,6-3.
The final of the mini tennis (8 & under) was won by Mutaz Al Mazroui, Abdulrahman Al Rahbi came second, while the third place was bagged by Asvay Kapoor.
In the under-10 girls category, a young Russian tennis player Rita Malalhova won the first place, her mate Renjana Sivan took the second position while Adele Al Asawy came third.
In the boys under-10 category, Ahmed Al Hinai came first while Nitishai Harinath came second and Pranav Ramsingh third.
In the under-12 girls category, Ruchita Prasad got the first position while Sara Al Jabri came second. Moreover, in the boys under-12 category, Charlie Sennhauser came first while the runner-up was Vedant Mohan.
In under 14 girls category, Kavya Jayakumar became champion while Tina Khadir was the runner-up.
