The State Council will hold its first annual session on November 14, following a directive from His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
The State Council is the upper house of the Council of Oman. It has 83 members all of whom are appointed by the Sultan.
A statement issued by Oman News Agency said the State Council will hold its first session of the seventh term (2019-2023).
“Upon His Majesty the Sultan's orders, the State Council will start its seventh term (2019-2023) and will hold its first session for its first annual session on Thursday, 14 November 2019.” - Oman News Agency
