Muscat: The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has predicted the chance of isolated rain associated with hail and fresh downdraft winds over Musandam Governorate and Al Hajar mountains during Saturday afternoon. This weather pattern may also continue in the night with the chance of late night to early morning low-level clouds and fog patches forming along coastal areas of the Arabian Sea.

In a statement, PACA said, "Currently there is thunderstorm activity east of the coast of Musandam Governorate." It had earlier announced that a low pressure trough was likely to affect weather over the Sultanate from Saturday till Monday.

According to PACA, Saturday winds will be in an easterly to southeasterly direction along the coastal areas of Oman Sea and will be light to moderate in strength. Over Musandam Governorate the wind will blow in a northerly to northeasterly direction and over the rest of the Sultanate it will be along the easterly to southeasterly direction.
