Swimming: OSA board holds third meeting; approves 12 swimming clubs

MUSCAT: The Board of Directors of Oman Swimming Association (OSA) held its third meeting for this year at the association’s premises under the chairmanship of Taha bin Sulaiman Al Kishry, OSA chairman.
During the meeting several issues on the agenda were discussed, including minutes and approval of the Competitions and Referees Committees alongwith the Technical Committee held last month.
The meeting also discussed the recommendations forwarded by the Teams and Coaches Committee relating to the technical reports on the national short distance swimming team’s participation at the 18th Asian Games held in Indonesia.
The board discussed the latest developments with regard to the recognition of swimming as a sport at the club level in various governorates and the major steps taken so far. The meeting also approved the registration of 12 swimming clubs.
