MUSCAT: Adeel Abbas picked up five wickets and Sameer Mohammed struck a match-winning 88 not out to power MCCC to a thrilling 2 wicket win over Bosher Olympic Centre (BOC) in a Junior League Under-19 clash at Oman Cricket’s grassy ground 2 in Amerat on Saturday.
Batting first, BOC was dismissed for 213 in the 50 th over despite being comfortably placed at 102 for 2 in 25 overs. Introduction of Adeel started the slide as BOC kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Adeel bagged 5 for 38 while Sameer took 2 for 25. Rushil Dadwal (34) and Sanin Nisar Fahad (30) were BOC’s only notable scorers.
MCCC was in deep trouble at 65 for 6 in the 21 st over before Sameer started to put his side back on track, putting on a game-turning 128-run partnership with Aaryan Nishit Punja (39 off 78) and then an unbroken 20-run stand with Mustafa (13 not out) to seal a sensational win for MCCC with only one ball to spare.

Abhas helps ISWK to big win over BOC
Magnificent all-round show by Abhas Ajay steered Indian School Wadi Kabir (ISWK) to a huge 133-run victory against Bosher Olympic Centre (BOC) in a Junior Lague under-16 game at Muscat Municipality ground 1 on Saturday.
Asked to bat first, ISWK piled up 237 for 7 in 30 overs thanks to brilliant batting by Abhas (off 59), Chaitra Jitesh (54 off 32) and Sai Surya (40 off 36). And then restricted BOC to 140 for 9 in 30 overs. Abhas and Ashwin Arun took two wickets each. Kerrigan topscored for BOC with 55 for 78 while Abhinav Algeti contributed 24.
