Pakistani students showcase innovative ideas at exhibition

Muscat: Hundreds of students from Pakistan schools across the Sultanate participated in an Intra-School Science Exhibition 2019, hosted by Pakistan School Muscat (PSM) at its premises.
The exhibition aimed at providing a platform to students to exhibit their innovative ideas and enhance students’ interest in science and technology to validate a pragmatic approach to education.
The exhibition was inaugurated by notable members of the Pakistan community in Oman.
The Chairman of Muhammad Riaz & Partners LLC, Mian Muhammad Riaz, was the chief guest for the event, Muhammad Arif Country Manager PIA, Akhmat Hayat, and ex – Principal of PSM, Col Irshad Ahmed, graced the event as the guests of honour.
The exhibits by various branches of Pakistan schools including those of Seeb, Nizwa, Mussanah, Sohar and Buraimi were on various topics related to solar energy, wind energy, biomedical sciences, and organic chemistry.
The chief guest and other dignitaries visited each stall and lauded all the students for their dynamic and creative skills in model designing and their presentations. They asked the students about the scientific concepts forming the foundation of the models.
As a token of appreciation, certificates were given to all students who showcased their talent.
Mian Riaz congratulated the school management, teachers, students and parents for organising the event on such a grand scale. He highlighted the need for such events for the grooming and overall development of students at an educational institute.
The exhibition proved to be a milestone for the young students to explore experiment and execute their ideas.
