Omani women opening new ventures offered discounts

Muscat: Omani women who wish to set up businesses in the Sultanate, may want to take advantage of discounts being offered by a real estate firm for renting and buying shops.
The discount comes courtesy of BBH Group, a property development and real estate company in Oman, which decided to unveil this discount on the occasion of Omani Women’s Day.
These discounts are for shops that will be set up in the new Seeb souq. The souq will have gold markets, entrepreneurial shops, tailoring shops, and a cotton market. This announcement was made amidst the celebration of Omani Women’s Day by the Ministry of Housing, which was held under the patronage of Siham bint Ahmed Al Harthi, director general of the Directorate General of Real Estate Development at the Ministry of Housing, at the Grand Millennium Hotel.
Al Harthi unveiled the women’s market in a ‘traditional market’ project, which is being executed by the BBH Group in the Wilayat of Seeb. Al Harthi expressed her happiness as the Sultanate celebrated women’s day, which falls annually on 17 October. “We are also pleased to celebrate the launch of a special market for women in the traditional market implemented by the BBH Group,” she said
Dr Khalid bin Salim Al Mutani, chairman of the Board of Directors at BBH, said: “Today we share the joy of Omani women with Omani Women’s Day which is our pride.
“This project will open its doors by the end of 2020, and gives special discount for Omani women.”
The project will be built on a total area of 54,000 square metres and will contain three floors, a popular hotel and a theatre on an area of 3,000 square metres, besides a hall for several uses and a cinema, inclusive of underground parking for close to 1,000 vehicles.
With its strategic location in Seeb, the market combines authenticity and modernity.
This popular market is touted to be a tourist attraction where one can learn about the Omani environment and heritage.
