Muscat: Citizens and residents in Oman should prepare for tonight as Lebanese-American comedian Nemr will be taking them through a raucous laughter session.

Nemr will be performing at 'The Funny Man’ show tonight, at the Crowne Plaza Qurm, which is set to kick off at 8.45 pm.

Talking prior to the show with TFM, Nemr said that he is feeling great to be in Oman and is very excited to be back again.

“There is something about Oman and its beauty. It is the most beautiful country in the Middle East. I love Oman, and I am very excited to be back!” the comedian said.

When asked about what keeps bringing him back to the Sultanate, — as he has previously been in the country in 2009, 2012 and 2016 — Nemr said it is the relationship here shares with the people in Oman.

“Why I keeping back to Oman is mainly because of two things. One: when I put a show together, I am always excited to share with as many people as I can. If people are excited to see my show than I am even more excited to do the show. I have developed kind of a beautiful relationship with the people in Oman that come out for my shows – the energy here is very different.

“There is a very serene kind of calm, which I don’t know how to describe, but the energy here is just amazing. So, as a performer and as an artist being able to present a show here is something every artist should try if they get the chance to as it is different than anywhere else,” Nemr said.

He added that the other reason is being able to work with comics here is because there are not many comics in the Middle East and it is relatively a new scene.

“So, when Humour Infection reached out to me, I jumped out at the opportunity as I would be able to work with talent from the country as well. It is beautiful seeing the Arabs coming together to make a great show tonight,” Nemr said.
