Expat flat in Muscat raided for illegal catering

Muscat: Muscat Municipality raided an apartment in Ruwi which was found to be cooking food in large quantities for commercial purposes.

According to the municipality, these workers operated without a license and violated food safety requirements.

Muscat Municipality said in a statement: "Municipal authorities raided a flat in Ruwi area of Muttrah. The flat used by expat workers for cooking and preparing food in commercial purpose which was distributed to restaurants and cafes in Ruwi."
