Muscat: MSM30 index closed down by 0.03% at 4,012.19 points. The Sharia Index closed down by 0.01% at 537.19 points. Al Omaniya Financial Service, up 3.30%, was the top gainer. Al Madina Investment, down 8.33%, was the top loser. Sembcorp SMN Power was the most active in terms of the number of shares traded Bank Muscat was the most active in terms of turnover.
A total number of 219 trades were executed during the day's trading session, generating a turnover of OMR 0.46 million with more than 3.12 million shares changing hands. Out of 26 traded stocks, 3 advanced, 9 declined and 14 remained unchanged. At the session close, GCC & Arab investors were net sellers for OMR 35,000 while domestic were net sellers for OMR 34,000 worth of shares followed by foreign investors.
Financial Index closed at 6,571.47 points, down 0.19%. Al Omaniya Financial and Sohar International Bank were up by 3.30% and 0.88% respectively. Al Madina Investment, Gulf Investment, Oman & Emirates, Al Madina Takaful and Ominvest were down by 8.33%, 3.66%, 2.86%, 1.23% and 1.18% respectively.
Industrial Index closed at 4,386.15 points, down 0.03%. No Gainers from Industrial Sector. Oman Fisheries was down by 1.23%.
Services index closed up 0.07% at 1,931.51 points. Phoenix Power was up by 1.27%. SEMBCORP Salalah was down by 0.78%.
