Muscat: The success and achievements of Beaconhouse Private School students for the Academic Year 2018-19 were celebrated with much fanfare and honoured at the Annual Award Ceremony held on 9 October.

Dr Saud Mubark Al Fouri, director general of Private Schools, was the chief guest for the evening and Nishad Padiyarath and Cecilia Pitre were the guests of honour.

The theme for the event was “Be The Change,” which was chosen to promote awareness of the same among students, staff and parents.

The evening started with music played by our school band welcoming our chief guest and guest of honour accompanied by our principal.

The award ceremony was carried out with much pomp and fanfare. A short dramatic enactment about the evils of plastic was also showcased by the students.
The school’s student council for 2019-20 marched down the aisle and were conferred sashes at the investiture ceremony. It concluded with a rap which had a crisp message people to be climate warriors.

The outgoing batch of grade 10 were honoured at the graduation ceremony. It was indeed a proud moment for the school and parents.

The event of the evening was an Inter-House '‘Trashion' Fashion Show,' where it showcased dresses made out of trash like plastic waste and disposables. It had a clear message of making us aware of ‘Reduce, Reuse & Recycle'.
