Al Tasnim Cement expands its portfolio with state-of-the-art factory in Duqm

Muscat: Al Tasnim’s Cement Products Division has started its operations with an avant-garde facility in Duqm. Strategically located in the Al-Wusta Governorate, Duqm is slated to be Oman’s next industrial centre. Spreading over 2,000sq.km in the area and boasting a strong coastline of 70km along the Arabian Sea, the Duqm Special Economic Zone will be one of the largest developments of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa.
Al Tasnim Cement Products is a pioneer in exploring new means of technological advancements for producing durable ready-mix concrete. Al Tasnim Group has set up 4 state-of-the-art facilities for ready mix concrete in Duqm region spreading over 35,000 sq. m and with an installed capacity of 425 m3/hr, 3 commercial batching plants in Duqm and 1 onsite batching plant in RasMarkaz. The plants are both ISO 9001:2015 Certified and National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NMRCA) Certified, having a robust HSE Management System in place. The "Jewel in the Crown" is the possession of quarry at Duqm for requirements of Crusher Materials (aggregates) used for the production of concrete. This not only ensures adequate but also a single source of materials, adding to the standardisation of quality.
The Duqm Governorate is currently looking at developing its infrastructure with a series of projects is already underway. Some of the key projects in the governate include a new international airport, a dry dock/quay, 5-Star hotels and dual carriage roads. In addition to these, some other key projects currently under execution include residential and tourism projects along with a fishery harbour.
