Expats arrested for violating Omani labour laws

Muscat: A number of expatriates have been arrested in North Al Sharqiyah and North Batinah governorates on charges of violating labour and residency law, the Royal Oman Police informed on Thursday.

In a statement issued online, ROP said: "The police command in North Al Sharqiyah and North Batinah governorates arrested a number of expatriates on charges of violating labour and residency laws."

Legal proceedings are being taken against them.
