A new social initiative to donate your clothes in Oman

Muscat: A social initiative in Muscat governorate is currently underway to collect clothes for those in need.
The initiative, Liajlikum, called on people to donate new or used clothes. The campaign will continue until November 1st, 2019.
Speaking to Times of Oman, Balqis Al Busaidi, a member of the team said: "During the first three days of the announcement of the initiative we have received many contacts from donors. More than fifty people want to donate their clothes to needy families and we expect more in the coming days."
The team receives clothes from donors whether they are new or used with the condition that they must be in good condition and clean.
Al Busaidi said: "We seek to provide the most basic needs of families which is clothing, especially since winter is coming."
She added: "We have data of more than 60 families including Omanis and expats who will benefit from the donation and we will contact concerned authorities and Non-Governmental Organisations to reach the largest segment of beneficiaries."
"The team has dedicated cars that will visit homes to collect clothes in Muscat Governorate," Al Busaidi explained: "People from outside Muscat governorate can donate if they can send the clothes to Muscat and we will receive it from them."
