​Oman has the second most diverse workforce in the Arab world

Muscat: The Sultanate is ranked first globally for the absence of terrorism and second in the Arab world in labour force diversity, drop in crime rates, and judicial independence, according to the Global Competitiveness Report 2019.

According to the report, the Sultanate ranked 53rd globally and was the sixth highest Arab country among 141 countries in the 2019 Global Competitiveness Report.

The National Competitiveness Office, in a statement said: "The Sultanate has strengthened its global leadership in the indicators of freedom from terrorism and the percentage of annual change in the consumer price index (inflation), in addition to achieving global advanced positions in a number of indicators."

The Sultanate ranked second in the Arab world in nine indicators: cooperation in employer-worker relations, labour force diversity, efficiency of legal framework in conflict resolution, quality of road infrastructure, road connectivity, decrease in crime rates, cost of organized crime on business, judicial independence and the ratio of students to teachers in primary education.
