Cyclone Hikaa passes over Masirah Island

Muscat: The center of cyclone Hikaa has passed between Masirah Island and Ras Mudrakah, Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA) announced.

In an online statement, PACA said, “Currently the tropical cyclone's center is between the southern island of Masirah and Ras Madrakah."

The weather station of Duqum airport has recorded a mean wind of 52 knots and gusting of 67 knots at 6.00 pm accompanied with heavy rain as the the tropical cyclone Hikaa approaches coasts of the Al Wusta governorate.
