Oman Tennis Association holds discussions to promote tennis in the region

Muscat: The Board of Directors of the Omani Tennis Association received Saleh Issa bin Hendi Al Mannai, Advisor to the King of Bahrain for Youth and Sports Affairs, who is currently visiting the Sultanate to participate in one of the tennis championships in the presence of Dr. Khalid bin Talib Al Nabhani.

Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate, Secretary General of the Gulf Organizing Committee for Tennis and a number of members of the Board of Directors of the Oman Tennis Federation.

During the meeting, they discussed the issues of tennis in the region, especially between the Gulf countries and the development witnessed as well as the role of the Oman Tennis Federation in organizing and hosting international tournaments during the past years. It will be held early next year, which is expected to witness a large participation of tennis pioneers in the Arab world.

Later, the Oman Tennis Federation presented a memorial gift to His Excellency Saleh bin Hindi Al Mannai, Advisor to His Majesty the King of Bahrain and another gift to Dr. Juma Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate.

Bin Hindi expressed his happiness for this kind gesture from the Omani Tennis Federation for this meeting and thanks to the organizers of this visit, which comes under the umbrella of twin between in the field of tennis pioneers and the development of the game.

He added that the Sultanate is witnessing human development in all fields and we have started the twinning project to achieve many goals. We hope to visit the Omani delegation during the coming period to exchange experiences and benefit from them.
