Muscat: A low-pressure system has been observed in the Arabian Sea and is likely to become a tropical depression within 48 hours, the Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA) has announced on Friday.

According to PACA, the low depression will not affect the Sultanate within the next three days. In a statement online PACA said: "A low air pressure zone has been detected east of the Arabian Sea and is likely to deepen to a tropical depression in the next 48 hours without any impact on the coasts of the Sultanate within three days."
