Huawei unveils WiFi Q2 Pro for global release at 2019 IFA

Muscat: Huawei launched its new-generation whole home Wi-Fi system, Huawei WiFi Q2 Pro at the 2019 IFA. Equipped with Huawei's Gigahome 5630 gigabit PLC modem chip and featuring innovative PLC Turbo technology, the Huawei WiFi Q2 Pro router greatly enhances anti-interference for PLC networking to realise fast data transfers and low latency, laying a groundwork for the widespread adoption of new technologies, such as 200 Mbps broadband and faster fiber-optic broadband.
As a third-generation Huawei base-satellite router, the Huawei WiFi Q2 Pro focuses on resolving the interference problems that occur during network signal transmission. It utilises Huawei's gigabit PLC modem chip and PLC Turbo technology to substantially reduce signal noise and enhance the quality of communications between base and satellite routers. The device can be plugged in in areas with a weak signal for full coverage in even a spacious, multi-story homes. With dual-band auto-selection, seamless roaming, and automatic channel optimisation, plug and play features, Q2 Pro users can experience smart Wi-Fi with full speed internet connection that covers every corner in any household.
Offering connection speeds of up to 1,867 Mbps, the Huawei WiFi Q2 Pro 3 Pack Hybrid version utilises 5 GHz mesh Wi-Fi technology and hybrid networking of PLC and Wi-Fi networks making it ideal for homes
In order to provide intelligent Wi-Fi connectability, the Huawei WiFi Q2 Pro supports dual-band auto-selection and seamless roaming, automatically connecting users to the hotspot and frequency band with the strongest signal, and optimising Wi-Fi channels to prevent interference from nearby signals.
THe Huawei WiFi Q2 Pro supports the next-generation IPv6 network communication protocol, to further bolster user privacy and network security. IPv6 addresses are generated randomly by combining the IP address prefixes issued by the Internet service provider's servers, with the MAC address of the device itself, making them harder to penetrate. The encryption options provide guaranteed first-rate security on the router and connected devices.
