Poachers arrested in Oman

Wildlife rangers have arrested a number of poachers on charges of killing several animals including Arabian gazelles, Cata birds, and wild rabbits.

This was revealed by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs.

"Wildlife rangers of the Shalim unit of MECA Directorate General in Dhofar governorate, in cooperation with Royal Oman Police and citizens, managed to arrest a number of people on charges of hunting ten Arabian gazelles, 23 Cata birds, and four wild rabbits." - Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs

Officials added that they were referred to the competent authorities in order to take legal action against them.
