Al Hail B team capture 4th Summer Cup 2019

Muscat: In an exciting final played on August 30, Al Hail B defeated Al Hail D cricket team by 16 runs and won the Ministry of Sports and Affairs Summer Cup 2019.

The final match was played between Al Hail-B and Al Hail D teams. Al Hail B Captain Waleed won the toss and decided to bat first. In 8 overs, Al Hail B scored 92 runs, Waleed Rahim Al Balushi scored 40 runs and Aslam Al Balushi 35 runs not out. From Team D, Khalid and Doshambe both took one wicket. Unfortunately, Al Hail D Team lost match by 16 runs. Waleed Abdul Majeed took 2 wickets.

Waleed Rahim Al Balushi of Al Hail-B Team was declared batsman of the tournament while Yousef Sadiq Al Balushi was adjudged the Best bowler of the tournament.

Mr Rashid represented the Ministry of Sports Affairs and Khalid Al Balushi, senior board member of Al Hail CT, presided over as the chief guest. They were also present at the award ceremony.

In the first semifinal played between Al Hail B Team and Al Hail –C Team, the toss was won by Team B and they decided to bat first. They scored 130 runs in 8 overs without losing any wicket, thanks to Waleed Rahim Al Balushi who scored 70 runs and Nadhir Al Balushi who scored 50 runs.

Al Hail team C was not able to chase the target, and scored 80 runs for the loss of four wickets. Sadam Al Balushi took 2 wickets and Waleed Abdul Majeed and Nadhir Al Balushi both took one wicket. Al Hail B team won the match by 50 runs.

The second semifinal was played between Al Hail A Team and D Team. The toss was won by team A and they decided to bat first. They were able to score 60 runs in 8 overs for the loss of 7 wickets, thanks to Ismail Gulam Al Balushi and Rasheed Al Balushi as both scored 17 runs. From team D, both Khalid and Yousef Al Balushi took 2 wickets each.

In reply Al hail D Team were able to chase the target in 7.4 overs, thanks to Suhaib Abdul Ghani who scored 30 runs. Ismail, Omar and Sameer took each one wicket each.
