Muscat: As part of the framework of developing and improving the services provided through the Invest Easy portal, which facilitates online transactions, the system has been linked electronically to the authorities concerned with commercial registration and in particular licensing. The system is connected to 32 different government entities in the field of data integration, and eight in the field of licensing integration.
Over the Eid Al Adha holiday, a total of 2,010 electronic transactions were completed via the portal. These included the opening of new commercial registers, the updating of commercial register data, the determining of activity locations and the approval of licenses, among others.
According to statistics, investors' ability to use the Invest Easy portal to complete transactions saw an increase in the number submitted, as well as the speed at which they were completed. The Invest Easy portal enables investors to efficiently complete transactions outside of working hours from anywhere, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Furthermore, the portal has helped in clarifying procedures and saves time and effort.
In order to improve the business environment in the Sultanate and provide the best electronic services to investors, government agencies involved in commercial registration are working to make the Invest Easy portal more efficient and improve its quality by using some of the best technology, including artificial intelligence. This will enable the portal to provide services and benefits to investors and businesses, so to achieve clarity and transparency, save time and effort, save cost of mobility and increase investor confidence.
