Oman becomes first Gulf country to join international blind sports federation

Muscat: The Sultanate is the first Gulf country to become a member of the International Federation of the Sports of the Blind, the Oman News Agency has announced.

"The Sultanate has succeeded in becoming a member of the International Federation of the Sports of the Blind, as the first Gulf country and the third Arab country to obtain this membership, and this came as a result of the Sultanate's efforts to improve the sports opportunities for the blind," said the agency.
