Missing Omani student found ‘safe and well'

Muscat: Australian police have announced that they have found the missing Omani student 'safe and well'.

In an online statement Queensland Police said: “The have located safe and well the 28-year-old women missing from St Lucia since June 26."

On Sunday, 28 July, the Consulate of Oman in Australia announced that 28-year-old Aisha Bint Salem Al Ghaithi, a student at the University of Queensland, was reported missing by the University after she failed to return to classes following a mid-term break.

According to the police, the missing student was last seen at the University of Queensland campus at St Lucia around 8.00am on June 26.

The Consulate added that the last reported communication with her family was over a month ago.
