Oman, UK commanders hold discussions on naval issues

Muscat: Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Ra’eesi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) received in his office at Mu’askar Al Murtafa’ yesterday Commodore Dean Bassett. United Kingdom Maritime Component Commander (UKMCC).
The two sides exchanged viewpoints and discussed a range of matters related to naval fields between the two friendly countries. The meeting was attended by a number of officials from both sides.
Meanwhile the British military official visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC) yesterday, accompanied by Head of the Centre.
The guest was briefed on the tasks and roles of the centre in managing and leading operations of the maritime security in terms of maritime hazards, mainly search and rescue operations and protecting marine environment from various risks.
The guest also viewed modern devices and equipment used in supporting maritime security operations.
