New resort to open in Dhofar next month

Muscat: A new luxury resort is set to open next month in Mirbat in the Dhofar Governorate.
Alila Hinu Bay, which is currently under construction, is set to open early next month, and was recently visited by Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Morshidi, the CEO of Oman’s State General Reserve Fund.
Considered as an important addition to Oman’s tourism sector as a whole and for the Dhofar Governorate in particular, the resort will aid the growth of tourism in Oman. Alila Hinu Bay will have 112 hotel units, in addition to valuable tourism facilities that will enrich the experiences of tourists visiting from within Oman and from abroad.

Al Morshidi listened to a briefing given by the chairman the Alil Salalah company board of directors, the project developer, regarding various phases of work completed, including construction, facilities and components, materials used and requirements and quality of raw materials. He was also told about the designs of the resort, in which the environmental aspect was taken into consideration.
The resort’s design boasts both originality and modernity. Al Morshidi lauded the progress made during work on the resort and its facilities. He said that it would be a qualitative leap forward in tourism for both Dhofar and Oman.
Al Morshidi said that it was expected that the project would create 360 job opportunities for which Omani citizens would be preferred. The project includes a five star hotel and a number of luxury villas equipped with a vast range of services, as well as a number of recreational facilities to enhance guests’ experiences.
The hotel will also have a number of restaurants, swimming pools and a heritage village, a handicraft market and facilities for children. The project is owned and developed by Alil Salalah Company of the Oman Development and Investment Fund.
