Muscat: Eleven Asian expats were arrested on charges of smuggling diesel, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced.
According to officials, 40,000 litres were confiscated from the accused.
The Musandam Coastguard seized two boats that were attempting to smuggle diesel.
In an online statement, ROP said: "Musandam Coast Guard police seized a boat and arrested 11 people of Asian nationality on charges of diesel smuggling."
Meanwhile, two expats of Asian nationality were arrested over possession and trafficking of meteorites in Musandam region.
