9 killed in Bangladesh after train collision

A newly-wed couple and at least seven other people were killed when a train rammed into a minibus at a crossing in Sirajganj's Ullapara upazila, Bangladesh.
Police said the fatal accident occurred at the Swalop rail crossing on the Dhaka-Rajshahi rail route at when the capital-bound Padma Express hit a microbus carrying a bridal party.
Nine people including the newly-weds died on the spot, police added.
The train directly hit the minibus when it was carelessly crossing the rail track, Kawshik Ahmed, Office-in-Charge of Ullapar told state media.
