Expats arrested for use of banned pesticides

Expat workers found using banned pesticides in North and South Batinah Governorate were arrested by an inspection team.
Moreover, the pesticides were seized by the authority.
"As part of the efforts of the Ministry to control the quality of agricultural products and ensure that they are free of pesticide residues, judicial control officers in Northern and Southern Batinah governorates managed to stop workers in violation of rules and seize banned pesticides in their possession in wilayat Suwaiq." - The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries
Officials added that the workers have been arrested in preparation to refer the case to Public Prosecution.
