Veteran cricket player Prasanna felicitated

Muscat: A felicitation ceremony was recently held by Khimji Ramdas Group to honour Guru Prasanna, prominent cricket player, manager of Enhance Cricket Team that plays in Oman Premier Division and a popular cricket photographer at Mumtaz Mahal Restaurant in Qurum.

The reception was attended by senior Oman Cricket, Khimji Ramdas and Enhance officials as well as members of Oman’s cricket fraternity.
Madhu Jesrani, Secretary Oman Cricket, said Prasanna was a quality player and a key contributor who will be remembered for his meritorious service to the game in various capacities.

He played Oman cricket league as a gutsy pace bowling all-rounder for Muttrah Cold Stores, Enhance Eagles and Enhance CT (Premier Division) for 24 seasons, leading his teams to many title triumphs.

“I had a wonderful time in Oman both as a player and a professional for my company. I wish to thank Enhance, Oman Cricket, Khimji Ramdas and all my team mates, friends and well-wishers for the wonderful memories and support all these years,” said Guru Prasanna.

Apart from being a staunch supporter of Oman National Team, to whom his team provided many key players, Prasanna also served Oman Cricket as Venue Manager during ACC and ICC events it hosted in the last two years.
