Ban on import of certain dog breeds

Fifteen dog breeds, including Rottweilers and Mastiffs cannot be imported into Oman anymore.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, in a decree, has prohibited the import of these breeds, including any dog which is a mix of the breeds as well.
“The breeds that cannot be imported include Pitbulls, Staffordshire Terriers, the American Bull, Mastiff, the Fila Brasileiro, Dogo Argentinos, the Japanese Tosa, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, the Presa Canario, Boxers, Boerboels, the Caucasian Shepherd Dog, the Anatolian Karabash and Great Danes.” - The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries
However, the Royal Oman Police and other security agencies are excluded from this prohibition.
