Dressing tips for long flights

Flying out to that distant island for the perfect summer getaway? Exciting! But that also involves a significant amount of time on a plane.Make sure your journey is comfortable and fashionable with these dressing tips.

Ditch the heels
And as a matter of fact anything that makes walking not pleasurable, or is difficult to take off or presses on those already sore spots. Opt for shoes that allow your feet to breathe. Slip-on shoes are a good choice. You can also go for trekking shoes – they’re downright comfortable and wearing them will also save you place in your suitcase (to pack your heels).

Wear longer,looser tops
Longer, because you’ll spend most of your time sitting, and sometimes the long hours make us take weird positions. Of course, you wouldn’t want to end up unknowingly revealing more than necessary. Looser, because let’s face it, figure-hugging tops aren’t the definition of comfortable.

Pick chinos over jeans
Chinos and khakis never go out of fashion, are airy, and give the perfect summer vibe. But we understand that a lot of people are genuinely more comfortable in jeans. In that case, pack the skinny jeans and slip into the looser boyfriend jeans.

Maxi dresses
Apart from the fact that your maxi dress will allow you to walk straight to the beach as soon as you land, this attire is also one of the most comfortable for a flight. It allows you to curl up without posing any restrictions which seems so essential on a flight.

Layers
The thing about flights is there is no standard temperature throughout. It goes from moderately warm (when you are already impatiently waiting to take off) to feeling like you’ve been placed inside a freezer some time mid-flight. The best way to combat these varying temperatures is to layer. Wear a lightweight, summery outfit but keep a jacket and scarf at hand which you can throw on when it feels like there is a temperature drop.
