Temporary tourism information centres start operating in Dhofar

Salalah: The Ministry of Tourism, represented by the Directorate General of Tourism in the Governorate of Dhofar, has started operating temporary tourism information centres as part of the Ministry’s efforts to promote permanent centres.
Marwan bin Abdul Hakim Al Ghassani, Director of Tourism Promotion Department at the Directorate General of Tourism in the Governorate of Dhofar said that the temporary centres provide visitors and tourists with information, brochures and maps that include data on hotels, hotel apartments, restaurants, markets and tourist attractions.
He added that the Ministry of Tourism has contracted with a roup of temporary tour guides to work in tourist information centres during the temporary tourist season after participating in a training program specialised in the field of tourism guidance.
Al Ghassani pointed out that the ministry has issued many publications and modern brochures, including the Tourism Map of the Governorate of Dhofar in 2019, which contains the basic information needed by the tourist and the most important guidelines that are followed when visiting the governorate.
